SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS

Lean In

  • Share about a time you have had a scary encounter with an animal. What happened? What did you do?

 Look Out:

  • Discuss some of the dangers of the idea of relativism (that morality – right or wrong – is not absolute but a personal choice?)

Look Down: Read Judges 14:1-20

  • What stands out to you?
  • What questions do you have?
  • How were you challenged?

Look In:

Destruction is often the end result of SMALL STEPS we take away from God.

  • Has there ever been a time in your life when you asked the question: “How did I get here?” Explain.

3 Missteps to Avoid:

“I Must Have It”

    • Do you tend to be more impulsive or more deliberate when it comes to making decisions?
    • Share about a time in your life when you have gone against the advice of others with a decision you made.
    • Read 1 John 2:16-17: What are practical ways you can include God in your decision making?

“I Can Handle it”

      • Is it difficult for you to ask for help? Why or why not?
      • Share about a time in your life when you have tried to handle something on your own and then realized you couldn’t?
      • What are practical ways you can include others in your struggles?

“I’m Done With It”

    • Share about a time when you experienced how avoiding problems/conflict in your life led to more problems/conflict?
    • Read Ephesians 4:26-27: Discuss some practical ways you can handle conflict in your relationships?

Look Beyond:

  • What’s one specific step you will take this week as a result of the message and your group discussion?
